Aatrox is that carry guy which is hard to kill and has tons of sustain and kinda lacking a reliable CC.
Aatrox is really good if you know how to play him. Knowing which fights to trade with, when and how to engage, when to use your abilities offensively vs defensively, monitoring bloodwell, knowing when passive is up and planning accordingly, knowing which situations to use which "w" passive (attack boost or healing boost), how to and when to synergyze your 'w' with your ult, etc. He is a lot harder than he seems but when played well sure as hell is a force to be reckoned with.

Since you say you are a top main, why not get Aatrox? I think after some practice he will be much easier to win lane with. Simply get ignite/flash and split push for the win. Your passive enables you to have, essentially, a free guardian angel the more abilities you cast, and since you don't have mana it becomes much easier to cast more frequently. Also, I don't believe he is getting a rework any time soon, so I would go for it.
I would personally not spend 6300 IP on a support, unless there was no one else to be had.
nami is like sona but better in every way
Fish lady is OP once you master her skill shots and know how to capitalize on her strengths.
Aatrox is a very underwhelming champion (even at release).
Both are really fun, but aatrox has alot of flaws that can make some matches painful. Get both if you can!
and about yorick, how am i supposed to know if I like him enough to buy if he is NEVER on the free rotation
Neither of them are in a good place meta-wise, but both are really good with dedicated practice. I would probably lean toward Aatrox because he's a bit more reliable and self-sustaining, but Nami ults can be incredibly devastating. You can flex Aatrox into the jungle, too.
I'd pick Nami over Aatrox in buying priority, especially if you are well-versed with being a support.
