Today my 2nd account just got banned. Why? i have no clue. I've been reported maybe 5 or 6 times on this account for being a bit mean. I've had 2 chat restrictions. (yesterday being my second) But what have i done to get banned? I'm chat restricted (since yesterday) so there's no way i can write in all chat and if i'm char restricted why would i risk extending it? I feel like I've been banned for things that happened weeks ago, which is wrong. Riot needs to take action immediately not wait. If i get banned again on my 2 accounts or on another i wont ever touch this game again and i will advise people to stay away from it.

Try that argument anywhere, "It does not count if it happened last week," and let me know how far that gets you.

Anyway, the main system, the tribunal (when it comes back up), does not immediately react to one or two reports with good reason. It builds a case that is then read and judged by the player base before being sent to Riot. This has two benefits that immediate punishment lacks.

  1. It gives the player warnings first, and time to reform his or her behavior before any suspension or ban becomes warranted.

  2. In the event a suspension or ban is warranted, it assures that such an action is in response to a consistent problem, not merely a player having a bad day.
