Tribunal

This is more or less a list of ways that may improve the tribunal system. I have started a thread on this in the normal forums.

  1. The tribunal should be able to read post game chat room as that is where most of the insults towards the opposing team are thrown, after a game.

  2. Not necessary but perhaps you could start a chat with other tribunal members viewing the same case that you are, if your stuck on something. Some may argue that this could be used to get others to agree to pardon a toxic player, or the opposite, to punish a clean one. However as you won't have any idea you are chatting with, why would you listen to them on something that is clearly the opposite?

  3. It would be cool for your score to be posted on your profile in community beta, and to be able to look at others profiles on community beta (Can we? Do we even have profiles or just accounts?).

  4. Justice review profile pics... just an idea.

my opinion:

  1. I don't think we need this since a person who is a jerk to the enemy team will most likely be toxic in game chat. That or there will be multiple reports from different games saying that the player was being a jerk in post game chat. Chances are very slim that the reported player would play against the same people across 5 different random cases.

  2. I kind of like this idea. Don't know though if it would leave you unbiased though to the case. Maybe like a note system that after the person casts their vote they can see what others thought on the case.

  3. I think this was discussed a very long time ago. Can't really recall the reason as to why nothing has been instituted. Maybe it was so that people who did the tribunal wouldn't get targeted by trolls or something? shrugs

  4. +1

I think the Tribunal should definitely be able to see pre-game and post-game chat, and they might actually be working on allowing it. I find most of the toxic behavior to be during the actual game, but you can see a lot in pre-game and post-game since you get to see how it starts and how it ends.

Perhaps you could start a chat with other tribunal members viewing the same case that you are, if your stuck on something.

It could be interesting, but it would almost invariably lead to confirmation bias. Besides, you can always just skip cases if you're stuck.

It would be cool for your score to be posted on your profile in community beta, and to be able to look at others profiles on community beta (Can we? Do we even have profiles or just accounts?).

For this I have to admit I disagree unless it's implemented extremely well. If it's used as a reward for the best users of the Tribunal I'd consider it OK, but if everyone that uses the Tribunal gets an addition to their profile it could be more problematic than the benefit it grants.

Haha I don't see why not, though a feature like that probably has a dramatically higher opportunity cost than almost anything else the company decides to work on.
