I decided to draft together a rework concept for Pantheon. Because why not.

So Pantheon's pretty rad. I don't really have an issue with his power level or play-style, and he's fun. The only problem I have with him is that his kit seems a little clunky and 'One-trick-pony' ish. Simply put, I think Pantheon's got a cool archetype and playstyle, but his mechanics don't support it to well. So I thought I'd try and make a mock rework of sorts to see if we can't make him just a tad more interesting to play and something that'd seem a bit more modern. So without further ado:

Super Mega Lashy Pantheon Rework Idea [slayer-pantheon-popcorn]

Passive- Armor of Aegis

Pantheon builds stacks of Aegis with every basic attack and spell cast. At 5 stacks, Pantheon gains a shield that blocks the damage and effects from the next basic attack from a champion, monster or turret.

When Pantheon is below 30%/35%/40%/45%/50% health, Aegis stack gains are doubled.

Q- Spear Shot

Pantheon hurls his spear forward in a line, damaging and slowing the first enemy hit. Enemies hit are afflicted with 'Deep Wounds' temporarily.

If Pantheon attacks an enemy with 'Deep Wounds' with either a basic attack or spear shot, that attack with critically strike and remove the debuff. (Brief cooldown per target)

W- Clash of Aegis

Pantheon takes a leap to a small area, damaging all enemies he lands on. Enemy champions that are hit are stunned.

If He hits an enemy champion, Pantheon automatically gains 5 stacks of Armor of Aegis

E- Vicious Strikes

When activated, pantheon gains increased attack speed on his next 3 basic attacks. Each successive attack on the same target deals slightly more damage than the last.

Only the first of these 3 strikes will build a stack of Armor of Aegis

R-Master of War

Pantheon raises his shield in request of the war god's favor and and is granted a divine blessing. While this blessing is active, his next ability has no cost and has significantly more powerful effects.

Q- Blazing Spear-

Pantheon uses his blessing to summon a massive spear of light in his hand, which he then lunges at a massively increased ranged. This spear passes through units dealing massive damage plus additional damage based on their missing health.

W-Sunbreaker

Pantheon channels for a moment, before leaping high into the sky. A moment later he crashes down on a large, faraway area, dealing large damage to enemies and stunning all in the center. Enemies by the edge are slowed and dealt 50% damage.

Brutality

Pantheon's blessing boils his blood and fuels him with fighting spirit, granting him massively increased attack speed for the next 7 basic attacks. Each strike on the same target deals increased damage. If Pantheon successfully hits the same target with 6 of these strikes, the 7th will deal massive true damage.

Soooo, yeh. Very 'AD Heimer' ish isn't it. Do say what you guys think of it. I'm by no means a champion design expert, so be gentle.

I like the fact the mock rework also preserved his current ult and made his kit seem more interactive.

I think this is great work, you should do more.

if he gains 2 stacks when under 50% health, build 2.5 attack speed pantheon and perma shield :P i like it tho,

AD Heimerdinger with that ult pretty much.

Edit: Saw you said that lol

While the idea is good, the buffs this would be giving him is insane. You're improving everything on him from his waveclear to his dueling potential. This would also completely change him from an AD caster to an AS Bruiser, like Trundle or Irelia. It's a bit much for him. The thought is nice, but right now, Panth is simple and still gets the job done. Nothing wrong with that.

Granted, having numbers behind the kit would help make a better judgement, but overall, I'd honestly have to say this isn't what the Baker of War needs.

His new e doesn't really seem fitting for him imo. The "improve ur abilities" ults are kinda getting old, and moving his old ult to his w would make it hard to stick to people since you can't stick to people afterwards. Also there's really no need to add an extra stack to his passive.

I'm cool with everything but the ult. Its a really cool concept but gives him way too much situational power. It'd have to have insanely high cd. I honestly think that his rework should keep his current ult the same (although I do love you're ult idea thematically its just) and refocus in on his passive blocking like you did. The e idea is really good

I like the overall idea. Needs some work, but there are some great ideas here.
