/ff in Aram?

Is it me or in this last month has there been a swell in the amount of people forfeiting in ARAM where there's no reason to? I have 1200+ games in this mode and only recently seen surrender votes going through mid match. I used to only see it when the nexus was at its last pixel for laughs. I just want to know if this is happening for other people too or I've been unfortunate enough to be in these games that end before things really begin?
