We all know the cliches, but pursuing your dreams matter, albeit how you do it and what it means to you can differ from person to person.

We want to hear your thoughts. What does "pursuing your dreams" mean to you?

Tell us what you think in a tweet-sized blurb (think 140 characters or less!) below.

Eating that last taco even though you were full ten minutes ago.

It means that even only trying is worth the journey.

To pursue your dreams is to visualize something you want and then take steps towards it, no matter how small those steps may be. You are only limited by your imagination!

Belief is a powerful thing, and the pursuit of a belief is to manifest it into reality. To pursue something implies that it already exists. Which means your choice to pursue is, in itself, the creation of the dream you are grasping for.

Pursuing your dreams means rejecting the claim that something is impossible.

That tower diving to kill the Teemo is always worth it, even if you lose the game.

Creating a world where other people can pursue their dreams and achieve wonderful things, without having to live in fear that you will be a financial burden to everyone around you.

'Pursuing my dream' is the act of converting my ambition into reality. It's the fulfilment of my desire to leave a mark on the world and to be able to say "I did this". It's recognition more than anything else and for myself, more than anybody else.

You can't clearly put it into words, but you can feel it when you're doing it. That driving force leading you towards an accomplishment you've only caught a glimpse of.

Pursuing my dream was saving enough money up in a job that I hated to pay for myself to go back to school and get a bachelor of computer science degree-- More money, more games.

TheUltimateSpear5/11/2016, 11:44:51 PM2 votes

To make it where my passion (writing) is my job.

I've got two for ya!

  • Pursuing my dream is satisfying ambition with free choice and motivation, reinforced by peers/family regardless of direction or consequence.

  • With acceptance, opportunity, loving yourself, and the desire to continuously make yourself a better person, anything is possible.

DwarvenGiant5/12/2016, 12:58:51 AM2 votes

######I might not answer the question without noticing, because it's 4 AM right now. :P

Life is a journey, a quest for the unknown.

Pursuing your dreams, to me, is going through that journey until the end & letting your passion lead you through it.

EDIT: There are also other people here with sayings that really speak to me. One being _Lynléire_'s:

'Pursuing my dream' is the act of converting my ambition into reality. It's the fulfilment of my desire to leave a mark on the world and to be able to say "I did this". It's recognition more than anything else and for myself, more than anybody else.

Do what you think you were born to do. Isaac Newton did what he was born to do and made calc you find what you need to do and do that.

Getting into professional league. This is the first season i've tried. I need to work on my consistency. Expand my champion pool. Learn the game more and better. (Learning what is good at what time to be more exact) Practice, Practice, Practice. Not Tilt. Rinse and repeat. Make things that feel unnatural to me feel more natural (albeit sticking next to the adc so that we can concentrate our damage on one target vs. splitting our damage across two or more target, since I am mid lane.)

My Dream is to prove to everyone who doubts in gaming as a way of life, that it is possible.

Fall back dream, work for rito teehee. @RiotJerkee

First of all, responding to this so I actually belong here;

I mainly want to basically end up either, what BridgeKeep said (being a rioteer, which is what I need help with...) or being a PJ (USAF unit.), mainly so I can live how I play, and I quote the Paramedic-Jumper motto; "What We Do So Others May Live."

That was the easy part. I basically have a really sweet idea, but not sure how else to get a Rioteer's eyes on it. Freshly posted (<1 hr. 30m.) and is more like a buisness prop. for Rito to pick up on. Said post is here (link; http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/miscellaneous/7lvQGMWn-idea-with-the-statues )

Finding a way to turn my passion for this game into something I can use in my real life. I wish there was an easy way, but there's no easy roads to achievement, not even in video games.

Pursing you dreams?

-Within the context of America- It is the forced prioritization of practicality. To pursue one's dreams, then one must not be restricted. So it becomes the realization that your dreams are no longer dreams, but reasonable fates. Restricted by wealth, chance, freedom, greed, power, and etc.
