What does CS stand for?

I hear people complaining about supports taking the ADC's CS and I know that means the support is taking the last hits but I'm just cruious as what CS stands for cause when I ask people what it means they say last hits or amount of minion kills. Please tell me when it stands for? I know minions used to be called Creeps does it stand for Creep and something else? What does it stand for?
