How Borders Work?

Just want to clarify something. My ranked team is Diamond, but solo I have only been able to climb to Gold 3 so far. If it stays this way, when the next season starts, my Diamond border will only show up if I play team games, right? And in solo/duo games it will be gold?

You'll have a Diamond border in Twisted Treeline Normal/Ranked and a Gold border everywhere else.
