Alright, so my friends and I are constantly having a debate of how pick order is determined.
One side thinks that pick order is dictated purely off of top to bottom order in champion select.
The other believes that because blue team selects champions in 1, 2-3, 4-5 that if champion 3 calls the role of top lane before champion 2 they get the position. Basically in this way call order come between two players who select their champions at the same time.
This has been spelt out pretty specifically by Riot. No call order in any way. Team work > pick order > call order.
Eh in a perfect world your team would pick the best roles for all of you, but this world aint perfect so its pick order Top to Bottom.
2 people may pick at the same time, but i always let the person above me choose their lane. I usually receive the same treatment when i am above them, so idk i think its just common knowledge Top to Bottom. I usually give up my lane if someone really doesn't want to Support, cuz i dont mind Supporting.

I just had this arguement with a guy, he fought until we were up then i let him have it. he chose to go riven top against garen (they already picked) and then feed him ending 1/9. I would have easily handled him as sion top which I intended to play.
Can a Riot employee please settle this debate, it causes so many issues with so many people. Just give us a strait answer
