Riot: Why do I have to play with people I just reported?

Last night I had the worst League experience of my life. I was playing ARAM, and I got put with a four man premade. I didn't know it until I tried offering advice to one of the players, and then suddenly all 4 turned on me and it got really abusive. I muted them all, but then it got worse because we started losing pretty bad but instead of just losing, the enemy team refused to destroy the nexus, and my team just wave cleared so I got stuck in this game. I reported them after game and tried to just move on and not be bothered by it. However my very next game I GOT PUT WITH THE SAME 4 MAN PREMADE. I had just blocked them all too! Why did I have to play with them again? They remembered me, and got extremely abusive in pregame chat (telling me to dodge, "suck a dk", "go f* myself) I didn't want to dodge and get in trouble, so I was forced to play with them again. I muted them all as soon as I got in game, but then in post game chat they all just got super abusive again. I did my best in both games to just play my best and help the team, but when your whole team hates you from the beginning it just makes it an awful experience. League is my favorite thing in life, and really helps me with my depression, but experiences like this just make me want to kill myself. Why do I have to play with people I just blocked, especially when it's a 4 man premade? :'( Riot members, what would you have done in my situation? I feel like there's no win situation. Never try to help a teammate? Never play anything that allows four man premades? Wait a minute after every bad game to make sure they get back in queue first (I did this, but I ended up filling out the last slot immediately.) Why should I have to let abusive bullies dictate my actions?

I think this is one of league's major flaws. It takes a lot for me to actually block someone, typically I just mute them, report them in the end game, and move on. For me to actually block someone they have to have been so horrifically offensive I'd never want to see a single thing they said ever again, no matter where I saw them.

I know this is the case for a lot of people, maybe not to as severe a degree, but point is, why would you ever match someone up with someone they blocked, at best, the communication is annihilated.

If the system were sophisticated enough to put like a 30 minute flag that prevents people from grouping together if one of them reports the other... that'd be a good idea.

As long as its not a long term 'never play with this person again' button. That's just too final.

Although I also think if you've just had a game with abusive players you should go find something else to do for 10-20 minutes to distance yourself from it. Go take a walk, play something soothing, listen to some good music, read a chapter of a book... hell go rub one out. Something to distract yourself for a bit so you can go into the next game with a clear head.

but thats the thing though. whats the chance of you muting a whole bunch of people. Would you honestly wait 30mins to an hour to play a game? i find that highly unlikely. youll just complain here that queue time is too much. dont get me wrong i dont think we should play with people we just reported/mute, but then again you shouldnt queue up the moment you leave your last game! thats usually the only reason why you'd queue up with people you just played with!

Because it can be abused at pro levels, which should be much more important to you than the abuse you take at non-pro levels.

Its pretty much a no win situation. I had a really bad game last week and my entire team was extremely abusive to me. Its scared me from playing on Summoner's Rift tbh.

The best I can say is if it happens again, report them the first time then sit out for like a minute, so you're not queued with them again. Though if you have issues with depression do be careful and make sure to take breaks after bad games. Its rough to get stuck in a rut let alone do it twice.
