Should he deactivate until it gets resolved?

How long does it usually take for tickets to be solved? Is there a faster way to get in contact with someone from RIOT?

Did your friend follow one of those "free rp sites" if so he should learn from this that RP IS NOT FREE.

I've usually gotten responses fairly quickly from support. Though from what I hear, account recovery can take a bit of time, as the process isn't that quick. They have to be certain the account is actually his, after all.

Does he have access to the account at all? Or did the person take it over completely (change pw and associated email address)? If he can still access the account, he may be able to change the pw so the other person can't access it anymore.
