I hate this game and i hate bronze/ silver kids in normals. Report-happy cancerous unskilled players. The most i type are baron calls like "WE NEED BARON TO WIN" on a level 28 smurf and they're all like report corki. I fucking carry their asses, so fucking tired of this.

Jubbinaut1 votesYou... do realize those reports are reviewed before anything is done about them, right? I mean, the system doesn't just automatically drop chat restrictions on anyone that hits some arbitrary threshold of reports.
And, I mean, sure the review is done by a chat-detection algorithm, but honestly? If you aren't saying things that can be seen as negative, you wouldn't be getting chat restrictions. The false positive rate on this thing is insanely low.

They want to have you think that they truly care and investigate each report on a case-by-case basis, but nothing could be further from the truth. There are many instances (both on this forum and the old one) of people getting unwarranted chat restrictions (due to multiple reports from trolls with a high "reliability ranking"), and then having them reverted AFTER having ACTUALLY investigated.
Dusty Rodgers1 votesTerrible system full of report abuse. I have seen people say things like "fkin retarded" constantly throughout the game and them going unpunished. Because they want to all blame the shaco who knows better than to do baron without any vision.
There are other examples like being held hostage in unwinnable games. There is no winning in this game.

I dont know anything about the report systems but even if they are automated, dont speak in chat other then "gj" and you should never get reported. After the 3 bans i havent been since. Which btw that was 8 months ago.
After all, its not like they can hear you screaming at your computer, saying swears every 2 and a half seconds.
Jubbinaut1 votesYes. The reviews are automated. Like I said. That doesn't mean there isn't a review step. It simply means that there isn't necessarily an actual human being handling the reviews.
As I also noted, the automated review system has a very low false positive rate. That doesn't mean that every single person who has ever been restricted by the system deserved it. It means that ~98% of players who received chat restrictions deserved them, and the other ~2% were oddball outlier cases that the system had not - at that point - learned how to deal with.
Honestly, false reports do more harm to the person issuing them than they do to the person who's reported.

Jubbinaut1 votesSwearing isn't inherently punishable. Hell, I swear a lot in game, and I've never even seen a restriction. But it's things like "holy fuckballs did you see that ult?" and "son of a bitch, I can't believe I missed that!"
With a rare few exceptions (such as hate speech), it's not the words you use that matters. It's the way you use them.
