my friend received an icon from riot that has written on the icon "RR 2017" on it, and its golden with weapons behind it etc. how did he get this icon and i'm very jelous!!

Edit, i figured out its because he had the rift rivals icon and played a game but sadly when the rift rivals icons came out i was on vacation and sadly wasnt able to get it so i wont be able to get the golden one either! im am so mad now ;-;.

you had to buy any Rift Rivals icon (there was 1 for each region) for 1 ip, then play 2 games with it or something.
