as a platinum player

why do platinum+ level players just get trolled by the community when we decide to play a normals game? if it isn't your team flaming you because you aren't really trying it is the enemy team flaming because you are plat+ or both. this community is garbage, I've never had so much heat from playing normals until i reach plat status.most the time when someone starts flaming i just laugh it off and makes me not want to try and carry them because of how much they are freaking out.

Yeah, I know your pain. Once you hit plat or diamond you're no longer allowed to just play for fun ever again, everyone expects you to treat normals as seriously as ranked and carry them, and if you don't you're elo boosted and the enemy team is 100% better than you. It's annoying, and people have little sympathy because they assume that as a higher elo player, you must be an elitist (as "Bignig420yolo666" with his beautiful name reaffirms...), so basically you kind of just have to expect it and shrug it off. After a while it just becomes noise. Funnily enough Platinum isn't even THAT spectacular, same with low diamond, but I guess statistically it is to a lot of people, so they expect the world from you.

yeah but the flame is before theres even any ego shown i could try and just shit on the enemy team, but why would i want to try when my own team is flaming lol

This is probably why you can't blame Plats/Diamonds for playing on unranked smurfs.

i've noticed that trend in all video games with a ranking system. it's very annoying.

at the very least i can assure you it's not specific to league of legends.
