In-Game Mic Chat

What do people think of having an in-game mic toggle on/off, so players can communicate without typing?

In the majority of games that I play, certain issues consistently arise:

  1. I have difficulty communicating effectively with my team, since typing takes too long.
  2. Players are toxic, and either flame or troll as a response to things not going their way.
  3. Players AFK, either due to negative attitudes, or sometimes because of lag (this is of course unavoidable).

I believe that most of these issues can be dealt with far more effectively with a chat system similar to that in Counter Strike, whereby you hold a button to activate your mic.

The way League has headed, winning games is becoming more and more team-orientated, and effective communication is an increasingly vital tool. It is easier to calm people down/reassure them over mic. People are also less likely to be abusive if they can hear someone else's voice at the other end.

Is this a viable option to help improve the game, and should it be introduced maybe for Season 6?

I don't want to hear people screaming in mics and people swearing in spanish.

Ya but if an option to mute selected players so only the non toxic players come through.
