What is solo queue?
And why are so many people talking about it right now?

Solo queue is the Ranked Draft Mode prior to Dynamic Queue (what we have today) Solo queue allowed you to play ranked solo, or with 1 other player. Your role was determined not by the client but by the team in Champion Select. Dynamic queue chooses your role based on your 2 preferred roles. People are angry due to the ability to queue up with 4 others in Dynamic Queue making Ranked less about skill and more about how many friends you bring. last season there were 2 ranked queues solo/duo and 5 man with dynamic queue there is no solo so you have a chance of playing agaisnt trios quads or 5 man groups which doesent really make for a true show of skill
