Bronze and Silver Nasus players = Meth addicts.

Every, single, one of you has a problem. The problem?

Dopamine rush.

It's that little giddy feeling you get every time you add a stack to your Q. Such a pleasant feeling, isn't it? Ah, but we know where this path goes. Just like meth, you want more. Just a little bit now, you're paying attention to the map, warding a little bit less than you should but still warding...but that feeling is just too good.

The first time someone tells you it's a problem is when the first teamfight at Dragon breaks out. There's a well placed ward for you to teleport into but...

Why would you ever teleport into a fight when you can go shop and teleport back to farming?

THE DOPAMINE!

Your teammates, they don't understand. You're LATE game! Why don't they trust you? You've diligently guarded your tower, it stands firm at 95% health and no one is going to take it from you. You just wish your noob teammates could defend theirs a bit better huh? I mean, so what if your top lane opponent is wandering because he left you with a needle in your arm, high on self-induced bliss. THEY SHOULD TURTLE amirite!?

You're late game. They'll see. When you have 300 stacks you'll just one-shot them all.

It doesn't matter that they have twice as many kills, and twice the towers, and three dragons. YOU'RE LATE GAME!

And like a meth addict, reality comes crashing down on you when you're shoved against your final towers, forced to defend because your noob temmates wouldn't leave you alone to your good feelings. If they could just hold on another 45 minutes! What's so wrong with asking that!?!?

And when you're 1v5ing because the rest of your team had no choice but to defend their base, and you were late to the party because...well, I won't tell anyone what you were doing. Let's not talk about it.

Just remember as you lay dying, that if you had just CS'd a liiiiitttttlllle bit harder, you could have carried 1 v 5.

Man, next game will be different. You'll get TWICE THE STACKS!

This is why I ban Nasus in my games. I can't stand having them on my team.

Daaaaaaamn... I resemble that remark so much. Not sure whether to upvote because of truth, or downvote because I'm offended.

If Nasus is the meth addict, what would that make Sion ?

Spacesuit Spiff4/17/2015, 12:55:08 AM4 votes

I see Blitzcranks do a weird version of this sometimes: run alone into the enemy jungle and pull someone, and they usually die because obviously they can't 1v1 anyone. But landing a pull gives a dopamine rush.

I think this was extremely clever and funny, lol. Have an upvote.

Nasus and master yi are the bane of low elo solo queue. Also, in general low elo players tend to pick duelists and not team-fight oriented champions.

NateKiller4/16/2015, 9:09:27 PM3 votes

OP, complaining about the play of Bronze and Silver Nasus players makes no sense. Of course their play will have gaping holes in it. So does the rest of the team. Sure the Nasus player likely has no idea when to stop farming. However, his team probably has no idea how to support his play-style either.

The truth is, the majority of the time that a team is losing early is not because Nasus "didn't teleport". It's because you lost bot and mid on your own. Yeah top can roam but to say he's swinging the game wildly in their favor is false. Your team needs to understand that top is missing and play conservatively while Nasus takes top lane all the way to inhibitor or farms into a God. Remember, if top lane refuses to stop Nasus: the pressure is on them to secure a win quickly. Abuse that fact.

Nasus = Dope-a-fiends?

Saint Archer4/17/2015, 3:16:31 AM2 votes

300 stacks? 500 is the minimum amount of stacks that will make me even consider leaving lane.

ayNigerianPrince4/16/2015, 8:19:17 PM2 votes

Shhiiitttt. This describes one of my ranked games in perfect detail.

I was the Nasus. ;D

no one can hear you scream in gold elo. Or is it bronze? or is it silver? Man I'm bad with my super low elo pun jokes...meh.

DeusVult4/17/2015, 2:50:29 AM2 votes

Nasus isn't a late game champ

he is a very strong mid game champ since he can build full tank and still do tons of damage

late game he is still powerful, but by then carries do way more damage and have penetration to kill him and bruisers have armor to lower Nasus's damage

Carpe Victoria4/17/2015, 4:02:15 PM1 votes

Whenever my team gets a Nasus my friend and I basically take bets on how long he will stay top and farm and make no other impact on the game.

And side note, some people are sooooo salty over this shit. I took him AP one game. Won top super quick and said fuck it to the stacks and started roaming. This one teammate kept yelling at me for farming though. They were too Nasus-enraged to even check what i was doing?

JZPorkins4/17/2015, 8:13:16 PM1 votes

had a game where our nasus had like 700+ stacks. we lost that game. his tower never died. when the enemy was hitting our nexus he was in top lane approaching their inhib.

JedenVojak4/17/2015, 9:10:32 PM1 votes

Uh... well before when hard carries used to be a thing, this was basically the modus operandi.

Don't ever fight early because you'll just be useless. Farm until late game. Have one fight. Win the game.

CloaknDagger2224/16/2015, 2:39:20 PM1 votes

This it the blight of Nasus that I deal with every single game. I'm considering banning him just to force my top laner to participate in the game.

Ryvaku4/16/2015, 6:29:44 PM1 votes

I suffer from this whenever I nasus. The stacks...I need those stacks..

Space Bum4/16/2015, 7:45:08 PM1 votes

Kennen Lulu You think you're going to get stacks? That's cute.

iamthegoatofwar4/16/2015, 9:13:27 PM1 votes

nasus will carry you to gold and 300 stacks...what is it 15 minutes?

godofruin24/16/2015, 9:39:28 PM1 votes

hey even if i go 0/10/1 at least i have 500 stacks, LATE GAME U WILL SEE MY POWER!!! if we reach late game . . .

I actually played a game in Bronze ranked where I got 700 stacks and just walked around whacking tanks into submission with my Q. Wasn't my idea, either, my team insisted I keep farming my Q while they cut away the enemy, one by one, and secured objectives by allowing me to split push hard, and make at least 2 of them retreat to protect their inhibs.

Most of the time the problem seems to be that either you can't farm, or your team doesn't want you to farm. I understand securing a dragon, but when I'm pushed up all the way to their Inhib tower, and the enemy team is hesitant to do anything, you shouldn't be doing dragon. That just prompts them to all in, as opposed to having them bide their time as they wonder whether they should try to 4v5 you and lose an inhib, possibly a nexus tower, or if one of them should back to defend, while the others continue at the stand off.

9/10 times in Bronze the enemy will split up, given a few seconds, and one if not two of them will show up to defend against a stacked up Nasus, fearing that 1 won't be enough. It isn't uncommon for the entire enemy team to back off and go after Nasus either.

If anything it's a communication problem. While I love me them Q stacks, I try to roam with the team when they want me to. But I ask that they allow me to Q stack still, as we clear oncoming minion waves. That or they tell me not to join the team, and to instead split push hard.

Personally I feel most useful farming until my team absolutely needs me, and pings for me to join them. More q stacks means more damage, right? More damage means I can tank up even harder. At least that's my logic.

I'm 13-2 as Nasus, but then again, I'm not in silver or bronze lol. Nasus is a beast.

Only Play Darius4/17/2015, 2:46:57 AM1 votes

Nasus main here. I have a policy that I never ever leave top lane to help my team until I either:

a. Took my respective inhibitor b. Reached 1000 stacks

My teammates hate me so much because I do literally nothing but farm top lane until one of the above conditions is met. Then either we lose the game and I get reported (Which I believe shouldn't be report worthy) or I solo push to the Nexus and my team puts me on a pedestal in post game chat.

Nasus is the best champion for someone who doesn't trust their team. You can win games simply by sitting in top lane all game and farming, don't have to count on anyone else to secure victory.

This thread was hilarious. XD I mained Nasus for a while but whenever you get one of those farm forever Nasus it's horrifying.

Worst Mid Ever4/17/2015, 11:19:19 AM1 votes

how to play against nasus

  1. all in at level 2
  2. freeze the wave at your tower
  3. get vision control
  4. wait for them to overextend to your tower and die even when they know your jungler is waiting in the bushes
