No lock boot for picks, not bans, is some bs

I think you shouldnt have to lock in a champion just to not get booted, as long as you select one it proves that you are not afk. I forget to lock champs in sometimes because i want to make sure I get the right masteries for that champion as I dont decide who i am going to play until my pick arrives. To have enough time to do a full mastery page sometimes you need every second of your pick, if your the last pick for example. instead I get booted from the game, and now I have a 30 minute "leaver" buster penalty and have lost 2 series in a row bc I was just trying to do masteries and forgot to lock in my champ.

TL;DR If you select a champ you arent afk why the fuck should you get booted if you dont lock them?

I'm arguing the same stance from the other side of the issue. The number of times I've been ousted of a lobby because someone else didn't lock in. The problem is real and there need to be changes made. The best way to get changes to happen is to get one big post on the subject rather than several small ones. I'm trying to get that to happen by showing everyone to my post. Here's the link

Because I selected my champion before bans even happened. The system already hovers that champion for me, if it locked in for me too then I could AFK right after intent and still get into game whenever I got back to my computer.
