Common misconception.

You see, Yasuo has a large & bushy white ponytail.

Master Yi has a long & narrow white ponytail.

He killed the first target that he alpha strike-ed to which is on the floor at Yi's feet already which is where he returned to.

From the lol wiki.

Active Master Yi blinks to the target enemy and up to 3 consecutive nearest enemies, becoming untargetable in the process, deals physical damage to each of them, increased against minions and monsters, and reappears next to his primary target.

If the primary target dies or becomes invulnerable as Master Yi finishes Alpha Strike, he will appear at the cast location.

He returns to the target he selected when he activated the ability unless its dead, in which case he returns to where he started from. I use this in aram to get harass onto enemy champions without committing to the all in by casting alpha strike on the last dying minion.
