How to deal with toxic players, what is toxic?
So the term toxic comes up alot and I think people are misusing it, quite a bit.
I often see the people who make mistakes and other experienced players try to coach wig out, and the would be good Samaritan gets reported for negative attitude or verbal abuse or w/e for saying: please buy magic resist you really need it, or get a defense item or hp or w.e. or simply trying to give tips.
So toxic I see gets defined as anyone who has a negative impact on the game. "you suck, your'e not following the meta, go kill yourself, I fed it's the jungler's fault when I feed" all of which are obviously toxic, the game is all situation and bad things happen to people sometimes sure, but I don't think the meta for how people normally builds triumphs the needs of the game, and criticizing them without any intelligent form for improvement hurts only yourself. Saying you suck doesn't help them improve, you HAVE to say what they could have done better.
SECONDLY How does one address unskilled individuals without being toxic, when they are already at 200% hostility to any form of criticism... Obviously you don't want to leave a weak link in your team, you want to build them up and make them stronger.
I will give an example, you're a support because nobody else wanted to, and your first pick adc CANNOT dodge a skill for ANYTHING, cannot get the last hit in, doesn't trinket when they push and has 0 game mechanics. When blitz throws a grab he runs in a strait line and get grabbed. Then they rant: I wish I had a real fucking support! My support sucks! Classic toxic noob.
SOOOOOO. You cannot give them advice or how to improve, they already assume they know what's what and that they are better then you. You can't give any positive feed back, because there isn't any positive thing TO say about them. The average player might get in a shit storm rage war with them, or mute them and go roam to positively affect the team, Still this form of reducing the conflict STILL gets you reported as toxic. You can get reported for anything and the game will suspend you for enough reports, undeserved for trying your best.
Any thoughts guys?
