I never heard of Dunkey until a big deal about his ban, and I watched a video or two about the ban and just a normal vid.
The issue is supposedly because of a toxic malphite, but the way he responded is not a solution to the problem.
Personally, Bans on any toxic player is stupid because the community IS toxic, and WONT stop being toxic. Bans should focus more on the Afk/Rage quit people. The only punishment Toxic people deserve is a chat restriction
So just cutting down the amount of toxicity to 5 messages will do the trick? I don't think it'll work. IMO he deserved what he deserved. Riot owned him nothing, he chose to support the game and he never had any type of deal with Riot, so he like any other player is eligible to bans and restrictions.
He has already been chat restricted before he got matched with Malphite, so I say the ban was well deserved.
Yea, i do think a chat restriction is better for toxic players for a few reasons: Keep them in the game for marketing reasons It still pisses them off, and teaches them to be more quiet It prevents spamming Improves game performance (helps you focus more on the game) Improves self-control
Reasons why i think bans are not appropriate to toxic players: The opposite of above. Banning is like suicide, It eliminates the chance of anything getting better.
AFK/Rage quitting players are where true problems are. You have a better chance winning a game with a toxic player rather than winning a 4v5.
Totally a well deserved ban.
