I never heard of Dunkey until a big deal about his ban, and I watched a video or two about the ban and just a normal vid.
The issue is supposedly because of a toxic malphite, but the way he responded is not a solution to the problem.
Personally, Bans on any toxic player is stupid because the community IS toxic, and WONT stop being toxic. Bans should focus more on the Afk/Rage quit people. The only punishment Toxic people deserve is a chat restriction

Riot owned him nothing, he chose to support the game and he never had any type of deal with Riot, so he like any other player is eligible to bans and restrictions.

KyleTheConqueror1 votesYea, i do think a chat restriction is better for toxic players for a few reasons: Keep them in the game for marketing reasons It still pisses them off, and teaches them to be more quiet It prevents spamming Improves game performance (helps you focus more on the game) Improves self-control
Reasons why i think bans are not appropriate to toxic players: The opposite of above. Banning is like suicide, It eliminates the chance of anything getting better.
AFK/Rage quitting players are where true problems are. You have a better chance winning a game with a toxic player rather than winning a 4v5.

This is where the temporary/permanent ban comes in like how a mother comes in seeing her spoiled child still doing dumb shit at school & she comes whupping his butt with something horrifying T.T.
Temporary/permanent bans aren't just plain punishment. It's called discipline. If toxic people still can't handle this type of pressure, then it's the best suggestion for them to leave Lol.

Please explain to me why it's okay to appease a troll because it seems you are saying he deserved the ban because of what he said, but were you given permission to see the chat logs? Can you call yourself one of the few who have never raged or fought fire with fire? I would assume not.
I hope you took history class and learned about Wilson's 14 points and Germany after WWI. Germany had to follow all of these procedures, and even taking fault for the war, which is called the 'war guilt cause.' Germany had to surrender everything and pay for damages. Adolf Hitler, the leader of the 3rd Reich was appeased, allowing him to rebuild Germany. there wasn't a war until the invasion of Poland, and it was too late for anyone else. Germany had built a strong military. THE POINT IS, YOU DO NOT LET TROLLS WALK ALL OVER YOU.
His vulgar personality is his problem, and there is a mute button for a reason. As long as you are playing the game right, there shouldn't be an issue. The Malphite on the other hand was feeding and being toxic, so would you agree that everyone on dunkey's team had a problem? It must be that Dunkey decided to say something for everyone in his own way, but was banned for it.

I believe a chat restriction is a great way to train someone to stop raging, even IF they were still doing so under it. A ban doesn't discipline anyone, but it keeps them off the game and coming back as if nothing ever really changed besides a vacation from it. Habits are broken by training yourself out of it, and league isn't a lifestyle habit. League is a game and league habits are fixed within league.
