Rito what have you done(Bard)
I played Bard yesterday in urf, it was the most amazing experience I have had in league but I was soooooo useless. Bard is not a league champion Bard is his own game.

yup! you did it wrong :P
its urf...you built 3 items and two of them were purely defensive. Thats why you didnt have damage and were useless...urf is all combat, you built for body blocking, and quite frankly if you are building bard for body blocking you are again doing it wrong, and the game mode doesnt matter. bard isnt a tank, he is a utility mage...play him that way in normals, and just build damage in urf...no matter who you pick URF=DAMAGE
Every Bard I've played with is just fundamentally useless. Literally every single champion in the game is better at every stage of the game outside of the 1 good ult Bard MIGHT land.
All Magical Journey is good for is shrine grabbing, and it isn't even a good escape.
Healing is gimped early on so his shrine are basically just MS packets. And his Q will rarely ever stun because you only need 1 person to take down Bard.
Literally every single support in this lane can actually niche solo lanes now except for Bard.
