What does it take to skip?

Hey Rito/community,

I was just curious as to what the requirements were to skip divisions as you climb! I apologize if this info is posted somewhere obvious, if it is can you please direct me to said location?

I ask because I just went 15-2 from Silver 1 to G5->G4 series and didn't skip on up. I figure that it has to do with my hidden MMR, but then again I was playing with high golds in the series. Is it because I lost my series on the first try (1-2)? Anyway, that's the background info.

It take a lot to skip. I only saw it happen after my placement. I guess I was placed low and it skipped me up a bit to get me where I belong. Going on a strong climb like you did is great. Good for you bud :) but unless the system thinks you are very very low compared to where you should be you will not skip a division.
