Disappointing shop skins.

I understand that it is not easy to predict what skins a player would be interested in, but I really despise my shop rotation this time around. Reasoning:

Graves: Already have all graves skins aside from cutthroat and riot, rarely play him since he became abused by meta slaves. Galio: Already have Enchanted, which is basically the exact same skin (effects are the same). Rarely ever played him to begin with. Gragas: Already have Oktoberfest and Vandal. Can admit that I play him often, this is the least disappointing of them all. Draven: Already have Pool Party, rarely ever play him. Lucian: Already have Project and Heartseeker, both newer and better quality skins. Play him some, not as much as other adcs. Sion: Already have Barbarian. 520 RP skin has the highest discount (least value possible gained), rarely ever play him.

In previous shop rotations I got quality skins for champs that I played enough to warrant getting skins for, and didn't already have multiple other ones, like Slayer Jinx and Snow Day Gnar. This time around, I just am disappointed.

I can understand if you think "Wow this guy is complaining about discounts, how selfish can he be?", but I just want to know if anyone else feels the same.

I actually like that gragas and lucian skin.

Sion skin back in the day was ok (umm i mean the reworked version) but when his legendary mecha zero skin came out I pretty much never use the lumberjack skin anymore :(.

They aren't bad skins, but its just the fact that I already have multiple skins for those champs that I consider better quality, thus is why I bought them over the ones offered.

I think they started work on NA servers first, so it might take a while for EU ones. Feelsbadman

the euw one is working now and of course i get only supports because that is my main role (no joke).

If I feel like doing ranked I just pick Zyra.

I had a very bad start in the pre season ages ago and got bronze 2 which is very shocking to me since i never been there but over time i found it funny that for once I'm at the very worst.

Recently bit by bit i do some ranked games and reached half way to bronze 1 with just zyra and alistar taking my victories.

With zyra alot of people dont know in SoloQ how to deal with her especially in low elo so its a pretty easy win for me.

Alistar, Tahm kench are the best supports in SoloQ for me.

With tahm just build full face of mountain, max Q, your cooldowns on W will be good enough to save your adc every time or other partners, you can barrier them. most adcs i have had in my ranked games most of them do use their trinkets in lane (thank frigging god), after face of mountain obviously get sightstone, then locket then upgrade to Ruby Sightstone so you can just barrier like a mad man. with tahm kench your partners will mostly never die unless they are dribbiling plebs.

Alistar's build for me is the same, its such an easy build to do but alistar's passive heal per kill assist and 7 minions is pretty good, I max W cus it has good damage and the shortest cooldown aswell as being super usefull in pushing the right enemy target away from assassinating your adc and if you're good enough you can use your W as sort of a vayne condem.

Honestly I'm a bit nervous in stepping into ranked.

One game i was lucky that someone dodged for me and the team after the jungler player was fighting for the top lane and went soraka jungle T_T.

I'm pretty freaking positive but i just can't handle the ignorance when im trying to help people. not trying to sound like a puffy puff but I want to win so I have to kiss people's asses to get them in a good mood XD.

Not to be a dickhead, but I've never been below silver 1. I started playing February last year and didn't touch ranked until late July, probably after at least 300 normal games.

I got placed silver 1, ranked up to gold 5 for the skin. This year I started gold 4 and am gold 3 atm.

Back then I just spammed Braum because he was still somewhat meta and I had been maining him for the majority of the year, ended up having an 83% wr out of the 12 played on him (I ranked pretty quickly, only played like 33 games last season).

At the start of this season tank supports were absolute trash compared to the malzahar/zyra/mf meta, and my secondary pick (Bard) wasn't much better either. I just constantly played karma, but as most people on the boards can see, the more games you win the more silvers you'll get on your team and plats on the other. I had to start playing frontline jg so I could peel for my boosted teammates, and now I'm just duoing with another support main and am playing adc.

I really wish I could play support, but I ended up having an 8-game losing streak at one point and my mmr tanked low enough (was plat 4 mmr, ended up silver 1) to get demoted back to gold 4 for a few days.

But yeah, I can agree with the extremely nervous point. Recently I just go into every game assuming my team is going to be full of either plebs who are a full division below me or just really toxic people that can't untilt. That way you don't get nearly as disappointed when it happens, but it does make you yourself get a little more toxic.

I've been meaning to get round to playing more often again (because i want to play a mini game of how many champions i can land my Q or auto attacks so my team can easy stun them) I'm guessing you just hit all champions just once and your allies get easy kills XD. braum is one of the three supports i haven't got rank 7 just yet.

In my early ranked matches in season 7 I kept getting autofilled to mid most of the time (my worst role) I tried to convince my allies to make a switch but only one game i was able to get a switch and it was one of the few victories i got.

"About" 5 other matches i got my main roles in support and top lost three games.

In some of my mid lane games I had to get my ass dragged to be useful.

UNless this season's gold reward is a Victorious Twitch, Rumble, Kled, Alistar to name a few then I ain't touching ranked for this season I'm pissed scared i'm gonna fuck up again and I try to be nice to alot of people but there are alot of times they throw that shit back in your face it does get annoying after a while.

Recently in mid I've been getting really good with Ziggs, Veigar, Orianna. But mid is only a role i take if people want to throw me there.

Adc I haven't had much of a problem honestly I just stick with Twitch, Jhin, Vayne, Caitlyn with twitch being the most used since he is my jungler, he has always been a strong adc imo even before his rework cus some people think it's a nerf or buff but i think twitch is now stupidly strong if played right and that's if he isn't getting snowballed.

Victorious skin this year will probably be something that was extremely meta in the spring split for LCS, so probably Jhin, Varus, Corki, Rengar, Kha'zix, Zyra, Malzahar, etc. I'd say Maokai or Nautilus but they already made a Maokai one and that prevents either of them from getting one, not to give a top laner one 2 years in a row.

One Victorious skin i'm very jealous i don't have is Janna. But that was way back in season 2 I wasn't into mobas back then till season 4.

Everytime I see anyone use Victorious Janna I go ape shit for it.

The issues are for it not working entirely. http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/store/sales/your-shop-returns Scroll down and look at the rioter comments. They fixed the issue where people weren't getting relevant deals hours ago. Some of my deals are arguably relevant, just extremely unwanted.

Yeah, I do like the face I could buy both star guardian skins with $10 worth of RP, which are $10 RP worth ea. Other than that, I do like Ghost bride and order of the bananas skin.

Dude, they are offering you skins for champs that you have similar skins for... How do you expect them to match this up?

Let me guess, you wanted to fill out a Christmas wish list of skins that you want for a discount?

Maybe the system saw you have a bunch of Grabes skin and thought, hey this guy might like to complete his collection. Or hey, this Galio skin is somewhat similar to this other skin he uses, lets discount that.

Instead, you want to complain about a feature that you don't have to use. SMH.

I knew I would get replies like this, I understand that you would say that. I don't have any particular skins I want right now, I just wish it would look at what I've been playing recently and offering deals out of that, rather than looking at what champions I already have amassed several skins for. I only use 2 skins out of all of the graves ones if I do even play him, and like I said, I stopped playing him when he become top-tier meta because I am not a meta-slave.

With the galio reasoning, the skin I already had wasn't the main point, I played galio for like 4 games when he got reworked and haven't touched him since.

Regardless, I would much rather have one good skin for all of the champs I play than having all of the skins for one of the champs I play. I got 2 of the graves skins out of hextech that I never use, I even have every thresh skin but championship from hextech and I rarely play him.

Well, there are champs out there that I'll play strictly because I get a cool skin for them. Maybe this is one of those things where it will encourage you to play one of those champs now that you get a sweet skin for it.

Out of all the ones in the shop is say the Draven one is sick. I actually like that Draven skin more than any other. Too bad you don't play him. Then again, who the hell wants another Draven player in their games? Lol

I mean, I own all of the champions aside from 4, but it gave me skins for the champs that I already have a bunch for.

It makes sense that they would, because it is an easy read, but its just not what I wanted from it.

And yeah, I don't really want more dravens either. I see really good ones on the enemy team, but rito forbid if it is on my team.

they offer you skins for champs you already have skins for, I can see how that would be frustrating. I'm sure if it were the other way around and they offered skins for champs you didn't have any for, that would be an issue with a lot of people. Just take earlier in the day for example. People were melting.

Not judging you or anything, I just think it's funny. Can't please the masses.

As for Draven, I feel he is one of those "Yasuo effect champions". He carries when he's on the enemy team, but feeds when he's on your team.

I understand you and feel with you im always excited when my shop is announced and it was pretty clear it was going to return again in the new client so i played specific champs who i really wanted to get some nice skins for and that for months. But i only got skins for champs i dont really play or already got several skins for like ahri ezreal and annie. Im not crying if you may think that i just want to say i think it would have been better if you got skins for champs you played a lot in the recent time as it was done the last time

I barely touched Sivir at all this season. 4 games in like December, and I already have 2-3 skins for her. I played a lot of Malphite, but already own Mecha. I played Vlad once like a month ago in a normal game. That's my only game on Vlad in the history of this account. I rarely play Irelia. I played a lot of Renekton recently, and don't own any skins for him. I rarely play Maokai. I have like 7 games on him at the beginning of the season, and already have the Victorious skin.

Ashe is my current featured profile champion, and I have no skins for her. I spammed the shit out of Darius and he's my only Mastery 7, and I have no skins for him. I played a lot of Ezreal this season, and I have no skins for him.

I got a lot of good skins that I really want but no RP to buy them. Actually makes me really sad.

I got: Dragonslayer Vayne(which is decent but I already have arclight) PickPocket Twitch (also decent but I have SSW) Bloodmoon Jhin(Only 540 RP too) Cosmic Reaver Kass(Because Kass is busted as fuck) Mecha Kog'Maw (good skin even if it's not as good as Pug'Maw) and finally Earnest Elf Trist (which is only 260 RP and yet still legendary)

I'm an ADC main and I play a lot of Kass too.

I feel you brother.

I got some unsatisfactory ones as well.

  • Blood Moon Talon = Not a bad skin at all. Argueably the best one he's got. I haven't played Talon since the assassin rework though. I'm among those few relics who preffered him as an AoE bomb. In addition, I already have the Dragonblade and Crimson Elite skins.
  • Nosferatu Vladirmir = Currently my favorite champion. Already have Blood Lord and Soul Stealer though, so I don't really have any desire for this skin.
  • Nightblade Irelia = I play her occassionally, but I already have 2 skins for Irelia, which I'd pick any day, over Nightblade.
  • Sir Kled = I bloody love playing Kled, I just think this skin is terrible. I really want a skin for my lizard riding battlemaniac, but I'd much rather wait for a decent skin to be released. The only redeeming quality about this skin is that Skaarl looks like a chocobo from Final Fantasy.
  • Dark Star Varus = Now this skin is absoloutely great, and the only one I would consider buying. I don't play ADC all the much anymore though, and I already have 2 skins for Varus, so I'm still in the consideration process on wether or not I'm gonna buy it.
  • TPA Orianna = I enjoy playing Orianna a lot. Although I have no desire to purchase I skin I don't find visually appealing, and I have no desire to purchase a skin for a team I don't support.

But what do you guys think? Is it worth getting Dark Star Varus with a 70% discount in my context?
