This game has gotten so bad I can't even believe it.

I'm sorry I really am, but this game has gone down the drain. Before you start to hate on me let me explain I really love this game but there feels like there's no creativity and freedom anymore. It's gotten so dumbed down I only have to do what the meta is or else I get reported by the community, OH YEAH, the community is truly awful I have met the biggest jerks I have ever seen. This game I so hard to enjoy when you have trolls, toxic people, LCS wannabe's and they keep adding new items that just look so goddamn awful and feel like I'm being forced to play and follow the meta, or else you get reported. AND YEAH REPORTING IN THIS GAME'S REPORT SYSTEM DOES NOTHING AND COMMUNITY I FEEL LIKE S*. Everyone is so rude Champions feel like there copying other games. Enemies have the ability to DDOS me from just playing the game -_-. I have been getting better at league, and there's no way I'm going forever. Please someone give me reason to come back sooner than a year, and yes every day I'll log on and see what's up and what kind of hate I'm getting calling me "gay", "%%%%%%", "scrub" and a "dumb fat piece of shit". If I get a lot of hate on this I'm just saying, I don't care anymore I'm coming every day to use my RP on sales, but that's it. Maybe next year when I feel better about this game I'll come back, but as for now GOODBYE. I have to re-post this for putting in the "wrong Section" Riot why can't you take some heat.

The player interaction is FAR better than it used to be. I'm not saying it's good, by no means is it anywhere close to accepting and encouraging. It has made progress though. If there is anything there to see as a silver lining, since you can't handle it the way it is now, is that maybe in time it will continue to get better, but that's not guaranteed.

As far as the game being dumbed down, that is a point everyone hits with everything when they learn how to do it. You've hit the point where you understand that there is a meta and that as far as competitive play, you should follow it. Back when you were new to the game, it didn't matter what you did, you were terrible anyways and no one else knew how to play against your constant mistakes any more than you did for their mistakes.

You can move past that though, you aren't limited to only playing Skarner. You can play whoever you want. The game is never going to be truly balanced because Riot keeps adding more stuff to the game and they simply cannot have it perfectly balanced as soon as they make any change, it needs time and that means some period of the game being "broken", but it's never really not broken.

Idk what kind of non-meta stuff you are doing. If it's some AP Draven, you are a troll, at least play the game. If it's some jungle Zed, then no one cares, do it. The build paths work the same for every champion. You have maybe 2 core items. Think like, item 3031 , item 3046 as Jinx, or whatever. Then you have boots, which you have a pretty great choice of almost regardless of your role. Now your other 3 items? Those are completely situational. you need to look at your team, look at the enemy team and decide what it is you need for your other items. It's not that hard, but you don't need to follow whatever pro guides you've been looking at to play the game.

I've actually been playing off meta picks like sated devourer Gnar, Twisted fate and now going to try twitch jg with devourer. :P

I'm so sorry for posting this, for the people who helped me realize the fun that's left for me in the game, thank you a lot. I have been meeting nice people and having a blast. I realized that this game will always have it's hard times, and such a bad community, but other than some really annoying issues, this game is the best, and is a great game.

Actually, in the past three Seasons, I've been seeing more deviations in the meta than in the last three years. All thanks you Riot changing Morde, so he could work on bot lane. And It's not only been Morde I've been seeing in the bot lane because of that change. It's like Riot actually had to change a champion to work in bot lane to tell their players that it should be fine to play a Bruiser/Support or anything just about anyway. Though, you still have jerks that think that the LCS/KR is the be all to end all when it comes to this game.

Also, if you feel like you're being "choked" by the meta, there are other gamemodes/maps.

You seem to be too easily affected by what random people you'll never talk to ever again in an online game say to you. Probably best for you if you don't return.
