Aren't people complaining about these champions being "Unplayable" on boards?

So Yesterday was interesting, me and my friends were playing games in team builder.

So veigar is now worthless? Yesterday we had a veigar mid on our team, I was a little scared because not only for the things about the veigar nerfs but this guy was FIRST TIMING him and im like "Ohhhh snap this might be bad.."

This new veigar player.. Not only got first blood, he beat a yasuo mid.. and then said "Veigar is soo OP!" Now This is someone whos first timing him, not really knowing how drastically they changed veigar...

Well I had a tough poppy game.. (Been a while sense I played her but shes one of my main top laners).. and they had a jungler who got some pretty good ganks on me while i was against a rengar top.. Who was this jungler? a Morde.. and apparently.. they said it was working.. Because this guy would gank, ult you, and then proceed to take your ghost to basically 3 person gank another lane.. This guy went insanly positive, he was defiently one of the carries of their team..

So are people on the boards just huffing and puffing a little too much?

If these people who are probably completely new to these champions people deemed "Unplayable" find OP ways to play them and still snowball ending the game positive just as good as any other champion?

I was surprised to see a jungle Morde .. It was defiantly something new and for it to work.. kudos to him! I think I gave him honorable opponent because he was trying something I don't see a lot and made it work.

I would just like to point out that after Riot reworked ahri a bit from the DFG loss, people shouted how she was ruined because she had no more burst potential. And yet, Ahri became an uber kitey annoying mage, whose winrate shot way the hell up, to the point of needing some nerfs next patch. Yes, ruined. I have yet to see numbers on the other reworks, but they're apparently working.

The problem is that these nerfs (I'd say balance shifts) affects high level players much more than lower elo players (which I can assume you can be, and that's fine because me too). Think of it like chess, a casual game has thousands of strategies you can use, but the better you get, the less viable options you can use. The change on Veigar's E takes away what allowed him to be playable at higher elos and gave him a chanace against what counters he already had. Hope this helps you understand.
