My computer crashed, so I had to reboot it and got back in the game, finished and even won the game. I still got a 20 leaver buster because my computer crashed. It wasn't my fault at all, so why do I have to suffer even though I still helped the team win?
You don't get a 20 minute penalty on your first leave.
I just posted nearly the exact same thing. This is gross, and it wasn't my comp, it was LoL client that crashed, then wouldn't reconnect. Things like this have me strongly considering leaving this moba, and I would imagine many others as well.
Whenever I crash I don't receive any penalty if I reconnect to the game (or warning), and if I don't I don't get any since that happens once or twice per season at MAX (but I do get the warning in that case).
This let met think that you crash/leave way too often, even more if you got 20 minute right of the bat, since it's suppose to be a relatively gradual punishment.
Can you tell us the frequency of leave? This might explain the huge queue time but since you reconnected I really don't understand the punishment.
same problem here man every time a bug splat occurs or I have to reconnect or anything that kicks me out of the game I get a leaver buster penalty.

While I was waiting to load in for the game, I was on a skype call with my cousin. He said that they were already in the game, but my loading percent was only at 96%. I was waiting for it, and in-game he told me that they could surrender if they wanted to since one of their players were afk (me). They all said yes, while I was still at the loading screen. After that, the screen which showed all of the champions on both teams disappeared and I was at the ending screen that shows your grade and what not. In that screen, Riot told me that I had 5, 20 mins lower priority queues for leaving or being afk. THIS IS VERY UNFAIR BECAUSE IT WASN'T EVEN MY FAULT
Your computer crashing may not be directly your fault but it is your responsibility. You are on a 20 min leaverbuster which means you have left a lot of games and should have had AT LEAST 2 previous punishments and a warning for leaving. Are all or most of those the result of crashes? You need to be fixing w/e problem you have before queuing again not just hoping that it doesn't happen.
