Cancelled Champs @Riot

So I was looking through the ability images and saw names like the 48th Slave, Averdrian, and Water Wizard. I did a little research and I found out they were cancelled, but I wasn't really able to find out why. I know that some other champs were cancelled because they didn't fit the theme of League of Legends, and now that the League is essentially "gone", would these champs be able to come back from their coffins or naw?
