Why are people like this?

I played a summoners rift unranked game with someone and none of my teamates would help me in top lane. ( it was me against 3 other people in that lane). All of them said "you called top, take care of it or i report u for being noob". I ended up losing the lane because all I could do was turret hug for dear life. Once our nexus was being polished and licked by the other team, my team the enemy team to report me for being noob and throwing the game. I was seriously speechless.

After eating an orange to calm down, I go to another game. One of my teamates was in team builder and I didnt want to dodge because it's a time penalty. He started saying "omg its that noob. Guys we lost gg." Later on during the match, One of my teamates was getting attacked by 2 people and my abilities where on cool-down (i was at 30% hp and couldn't help without getting killed myself, thus feeding them). So I had to stay in a bush and wait 10 seconds for an ability to activate. The same guy said "See? Noob doesn't help.Report plz" And when I DO manage to get a double kill, he says "oooo noob is trying hard to be pro when in real life he is fat friendzoned lonely trash". I couldn't make him happy no matter what I did. Why are people so blindly hostile like this? When I died, he flamed. When I killed, He calls me a try hard. Good ol League. O__O

lack of consequences over general internet based behavior, lack of accountability and lack of a respectful/sportsmanlike atmosphere. It shows he/she needs to get off on talking smack, which is a display of little to no confidence IRL. Mute and move on, some people have to learn the hard way.

it gets a bit better at level 30. report verbal abusers ONLY WHEN THEY ACTUALLY ARE*, and help clean it out. Just keep trucking, is all I can say.

*spam too many reports and your account is considered a report spammer, and your reports will carry very little weight

A number of things. Bad attitude, lack of experience and knowledge, frustration and anger ,laziness or just fun for them.As much as I do hate this behavior as well (I had a Teemo refuse to help us during an invade then steal blue, while a Fiora fed on purpose because he did not get mid.) There are more times were I run in to either calm and quite, or very helpful and friendly teammates. My suggestion is just to get a group on your friends list and play with them. You can always get your role and champ, communicate better and have more fun.
