Taking Caitlyn to mid or top

ok let me start off in saying taking her in these positions in Higher Elo's is not a smart Idea, the players are better and the ganks are a lot better and a good gank and its very unlikely even with as much evade as I have that I will die. That being said I'm not in a high elo and Caitlyn is by far my best champ, I do the best in K/D with her, do the best in CS with her and basically know her very very well. I always ask for adc in every match I join and most of the time I get it but when I dont or if someone trolls behind me and picks another adc then sometimes I take her top or mid. AND omg you wouldnt believe the crying that follows. Everything from im a complete idiot to im reporting you noob, and every single game I dont lose lane and dont need ganks and never die from enemy ganks because I ward a lot and pay attention to the map. The whole point of this thread is to ask do you take champs where they generally dont go and do well with them but deal with the people that have it stuck in their heads that champs can only go one place?

Well, I main Zyra mid and I get flamed a bunch for it. My team will say "GG Support mid dodge now" or "Why are you taking a Support mid? Troll" People forget...ZYRA IS A MID LANER SHE WAS DESIGNED TO BE MID!!! She is my best mid laner i hardly ever lose lane :3

I don't think that taking Cait to mid or top is a good idea. I saw before Tristana on top, Corki on mid...they do well on the laning phase, but they almost always lose the teamfights because their team was very squishy. Normally, a melee champion with bruiser/tank build should play on top and an assassin or mage on mid. Cait is just a marksman and her place is on bottom lane. Maybe you do very well, maybe your creep score will be almost always bigger than your opponent, but when the laning phase ends it won't be that easy for your team. This is my opinion, hope I helped you.
