Mouse Lag

I just got a new lap top, it runs league perfectly highest settings ect. But I am having trouble with my mouse, it seems fine for about half the game and the other half it lags behind what I am trying to do with it, or my clicks don't register. I have used this mouse for the longest time with league and have not had any problems. I have tried switching everything to lowest possible setting, turning off sound ect, and it still lags. Does this mean I should think about getting a new mouse or is it something with league or my computer? Any input would be very welcome thanks!
