Ping Issue

Since 5.10 came out i had a problem of "attempting to reconnect" every few minutes every time I entered a match. So a friend suggested that I uninstall then reinstall league. I did, the dc issue seems to have resolved itself but, now my ping before was always around 58. Now the lowest ping I get is around 120. Any idea why/how this could of happened? It is making the game pretty damn annoying.
