Why my intrest in league of going down hill fast

I have been finding my self extremely board with league recently, so much so I have considered going to other games in the same genre (HotS, and Smite) and I think I have figured out why.

  • lack of feeling of progression: I honestly feel like I accumulate ip so slowly that I can't ever actually get to a place where I have the champs I want and runes I need unless I spend quite a bit more money or play way to much. Most of the out of game stuff (leveling, buying champs and runes) just feels like a hopeless grind that I don't feel is worth the money to speed up.

  • Lack of choice: In league there has been this constant issue where many champs just aren't good in any scenario, and right now the champion pool feels tighter then ever, with only around 3 viable champs I can think of for each role. Honestly lots of games have a similar issue but it feels even more prevalent in League

It's those issues on top of the horrid in game community (Board community is usually much better) plus balance that appears to happen based on what the balance team wants and not what the game needs which is really pushing me away from league. This is rather sad as I'd rather not leave the game as I have spent lots of time on it, but I may end up doing so if things continue in this way. I really hope that these issues are fixed soon.

(will say however the new game mods will really spice things up quite a bit)

Do you not play other games? I'd understand playing one game and one game only for quite some time if you had a nice group to play with every time you got on, but I haven't had something reliable like that in years.

Why not just play a few games at the same time? That might do the trick for you.

anything is viable in solo que its why singed mains/ ect can get to challenger. Throw that excuse away. In any game if you arent better than everyone else you will climb slowly. I agree with the ip/champion cost stuff though and community.

Its mainly gameplay related issues most likely.

Progression has never been a factor in this game for me outside of personal growth.
