It would be perfect if we have more camera interactive

I want to using Free camera mode but get notified right away whenever there is a movement-CC affect me. And I want re-act to that event right away without moving my mouse to the corner and try to distinguish my champion from meatball of enemy in the brush, again.

Like when you get pull by Blitzcrank or Thresh flay, the camera move the same distant as your champion

  • Increase player awareness without adding stuff to the combat screen
  • Avoid losing orientation, easier to tracking your champion (hold the relation relation between your champion and center of the screen)
  • Feel the exact impact from the grab: your Nami got grabed, you can feel that grab by the camera movement. It's kind of.... connected

And yes, I mean it an option for Free Camera mode, not compulsory. What do you guys think?

interesting idea. might get annoying though if you don't want your camera to move back to you while you focus on other things.

don't forget currently you can press the spacebar to bring the camera right back on your champ

I mean, I see where you're going with this, but I feel like it'd be too complicated to implement without enough insentive to do so. I mean, it's basically just like fixed camera mode with the 'fixed' point being somewhere adjacent to your champ. (as opposed to right on it.) It could also lead to some awkward effects if your champ is off camera. What if you're not looking at your champ when he gets pulled and your camera just randomly moves the length of blitzcrank pull even though you were peeking at mid lane? In cases like that it would be even more disorienting.

I get what you mean, but one very important aspect of the game is managing your camera in order not to be surprised by grabs and such. There is already a key (space) for centering the camera on your champion, implementing such a mechanic to the camera interface would get confusing.

For example, if you get grabbed/knocked back while you're watching another lane, does
A. The camera move the length of the grab then center on you
B. The camera center on your champion and then move to your position
C. The screen flashes (red for example), then centers camera on your new position

All of those example simply nullifies part of the advantage that the enemy had when they got the jump on you while you were looking elsewhere. A simple flash, or even a special sound effect, would be less unfair for the enemy:

I can imagine playing a sound effect when your camera gets "x" range away from your champion while you take damage or cc. No ping, flashing or camera relocation. That would be less unfair to the enemy who caught you off guard and still be of help to you.

Cheers.
