@ Riot Games: Potential to add more incentives into League of Legends!

Hello Riot, was wondering if you guys ever look at other game incentives to inspire your own events etc.

There is another game I've played a ton called World of Tanks, by Wargaming. Recently, about a year or two, Wargaming added a very cool feature to their game called "Missions". These missions reward players for completing unique requirements and in recent patches, this year, they added Individual Missions.

Missions in the past have rewarded players with in-game items like credits, consumables, premium consumables, equipment, premium tanks, etc.

Missions could be completed individually or in platoons (with other players). I personally finished a mission not too long ago for a premium tank, cost of premium tank was $70, but completing the missions gave you the tank for free. It took me about 23 days to complete the mission which had a 35 day time limit.

Individual Missions are a new twist on missions in which individuals can select, ONE AT A TIME, special requirements to complete per game. Each time you complete one of these individual missions you get credits or some sort of consumable. By completing 15 missions for a specific role, like Light Tanks, Medium Tanks, Heavy Tanks, etc, you earn tokens. Once you have 4 tokens you earn a unique premium tank which is unobtainable through any other mean.

Every mission has had different types of requirements, for example;

  1. A mission will have you earn X amount of XP over a number of games to complete it. Sometimes these missions will be broken down into smaller chunks in which you have to earn X amount of XP over a period of time. Upon completing a portion/chunk/partition of the mission you get rewarded with something small. Completing all portions/chunks/entirety rewards you with something big like a premium tank, gold etc.

  2. A mission will have you deal X amount of damage per game. Similar to the XP mission, they can be broken down into multiple games, periods of times or have secondary requirements. For example, deal X amount of damage per game and be among the top X damage dealers in your team.

  3. A mission will have you destroy X amount of tanks/specific tanks. This can be per game, over a period of games or time. For example, "Destroy 3 enemy Tank Destroyers in one game and be among the top 10 XP earners in your team.".

Every mission has had different types of rewards, for example:

  1. X amount of Consumables. Consumables can be purchased with in-game currency, silver, but completing a mission can reward you consumables for free.

  2. X amount of Premium Consumables. Premium Consumables can be purchased with Gold or paid currency or in-game currency at a conversion ratio 1 gold = 400 silver.

  3. 1 Equipment. Equipment can only be purchased with in-game currency but are quite expensive and take a long grind of silver just to buy one. Some missions will ask you to complete a bunch of smaller missions that reward you with other stuff and upon completing all of the small missions you get an Equipment.

  4. Premium Tanks. Premium tanks can only be purchased with money, but some missions will reward you the premium tank if you complete a long list of separate small missions a number of times. If you already own the premium tank and if you bought it with money, you get its equivalent gold value instead.

So what am I trying to suggest? Well I am suggesting that you, Riot, look at other popular games like World of Tanks and implement something similar to League of Legends.

To be honest, I love your guys events, but this recent test of Party Rewards kinda blew. I envision something like what Wargaming has done for League of Legends.

For example:

Jungle Mission: "Name Here" Requirement: Slay/Collect 5 Dragons in one game. Reward: 50 IP Mission available once per account. / Once per day. or Limit X completions per day.

Support Mission: "Name Here" Primary Requirement: Assist your team with 25 kills in one game. Secondary Requirement: Place 10 or more wards in one game. Primary Reward: 50 IP Secondary Reward: 25 IP Mission available once per account. / Once per day. or Limit X completions per day.

Unique Icon Mission: "Name Here" Requirement: Complete Jungle Mission "Name Here" X amount of times. Reward: "Name Here" Icon Mission available once per account.

You could give out unique icons for each role, like Jungle, Support, Mid, Top, ADC etc as a reward similar to your other events.

You could expand this even further by creating difficult missions that reward either unique or existing skins.

"Name Here" [Skin] Mission Requirement: Win 150 games in Normal Blind/Draft, ARAM, Crystal Scar, Ranked, etc. Reward: "Name Here" Skin Mission available starting X XX XXXX at XX:XX time until Y YY YYYY at YY:YY time. Mission available once per account. If you already own the selected skin, you will be rewarded its equivalent RP value instead.

Here you can see some examples from Wargaming:

To add even more stuff...

I envision something similar to this attracting more and more players to your game or at the very least keeping existing players playing more.

You could create fun events like hunt down Reds/The Pros, by rewarding players small RP rewards for being able to win a game against a Rioter a Pro Player etc. For example, for your Ultra Rapid Fire mode you could have game sessions in which fellow Rioters queue up for URF and if you manage to beat a team with a Riot member you earn something like 100RP, or if you're in a team with a Riot member and your team wins you also earn 100RP.

You could also add rewards for Runes and Rune pages in which you earn tokens that you can use to unlock Runes with or a Rune Page. You can add conversion rates for these tokens like 1 token qualifies for one 205 IP Rune, 2 tokens qualifies for one 410 IP Rune, 30 tokens qualifies you for 1 Rune Page etc. This could hugely benefit new players in earning tokens for runes or rune pages as they level up to 30.
