Surrendering in Ranked

Why surrender in ranked? now 4 people wanna quit out of 5. because they are quitters. now that one player is being punished, because there are quitters. Like people that say ff at 20? i hate that, any way riot can make it so that in ranked you cant surrender? Because whats the point of quitting in ranked? anything can happen come together as a team, I'm starting to realize this community is a bunch of quitters, do you quit in real life too? or do rise to the occasion? if you play ranked then you are pretty serious about ranking up right? well then don't surrender

There is no point in forcing a game to continue that players don't want to be in. If 4 people on your team think you can't win then you aren't going to win. Even if they are objectively wrong thinking that you cant win, that thought will prevent you from winning.

Also sometimes surrendering is about expedience. Sometimes it's not worth it to bet the time you will have to drag out the game for the small chance of victory. So you can climb faster by simply getting more games into a the same amount of time.

And even in ranked there is still enjoyment to consider.

quitters will quit whether you give them an option or not. the surrender option, gives a chance for people to get re-invigorated when they see the other 4 teamates say no to FF, I've seen that happen so often. some solo lane loses hard and feels absolutley miserable and just hits ff when it's 20 some minutes, then in seconds everyine's already hit the no, and then like wow you see their heart in the game half a minute later and I just, I feel kinda good, I feel their hope returning.

The difference of opinion is exactly why its a vote. And it even favors your side by requiring 4 votes to surrender instead of a simple majority with 3.

Some people aren't that serious though. You're talking about solo q I assume? Well there's the problem.

I just lost a few games cause my teammate clearly didn't know what they were doing. You're probably getting someone who just leveled up, or simply hasn't had enough success or experience to realize that some games can turn around.

Surrender when you don't feel like playing anymore. It's a game, if you aren't having fun you don't play. It is that simple.

what if your in a game thats 40-10?
