Hi everyone! So I was recently diagnosed with a debilitating disease a few months ago. It has left me wheelchair bound and jobless since I can no longer stand and be a baker. Im going to start streaming to raise awareness for POTS, I thought it would be really cool to enjoy my favorite hobby and to raise awareness so more people will understand more about this Chronic illness and find a cure one day. Once I get the money to build a better computer I will start streaming. It will take me awhile since I no longer have a job but its the one dream I have left that I can do.

Babycakes. How much money do you need to start streaming? I can relate super hard to you. 6 years ago my mom was diagnosed with POTS and hasn't been able to work since and i want to everything that i can to combat this relatively unknown disease. And i am more than willing to donate to your cause. I'm a poor college student but i will give all i can spare. :D I appreciate your willingness to bring this up to the community and your dedication to fight back. And you should put a twitch link in a comment or edit the first post so me and other community members can follow you. Because i will be there for every stream i can.

Man, the Lux cosplay makes me miss the time a long while back, when I used to main her. It's been a little over three years, I think. I know I am a far better player now, but I was a better Lux then. Maybe it's time to take up the luminescent staff once again.

Anyway, good luck with your stream. Hopefully it will make a difference, or at least make you happy.

Your story hits home quite a bit actually my late fiance had transverse myelitis wish paralyzed her at 13 and caused her a whole other bucket full of health issues afterwards.

Wish I could help you monetarily but unfortunately I cannot. What I can do is offer my tech knowledge as far as a system build. I would highly suggest you build the system your self and I would be happy to walk you through any questions via skype or something simmilar once your able to build the system (unsure of your technological expertise so this may be all irreverent)

Here is a system build that can easily stream league at 1080p resolution and maxxed out everything would also be able to stream most games at 1080p and max settings some game you may have to turn a few settings down (such as shadows and Anti Aliasing). If you searching for something cheaper I can place a cheaper build that will do fine streaming just league of legends (I can actually stream on my system wich is a [email protected] with a GT610 graphics and only 4gb RAM at 480p stream quality)

Well, shit. I definitely know how that feels, having had a disabling disease with almost no awareness whatsoever all 16, fast approaching 17, years of my life. I hope that science will find a cure for POTS so you can live a long, happy life. More importantly, I hope you feel better soon, even if you aren't cured. Good luck!

Just curious, but you can't do your job as a baker in a wheel chair of some variant? Don't take this the wrong way... but have you actually tried? Regardless, sorry to hear about the illness.

You could look at telecomute work or any computer based/sitting job at least. Good luck.

I assume this isn't an easy thing to just acquire, but has anybody suggested using the constricting suits that pilots wear in order to not pass out from high G forces? It seems to be approximately the same issue if you pass out from too much blood in your lower body.
