Bad policy. Bad business.
Here's the scenario: you are at a toy store somewhere buying a toy. Suppose you purchase the item and realize instantly you used the wrong credit card, because you placed both your cards next to one another and they appear very similar at first glance. You walk directly to the customer service area and explain the problem. Any reputable business would redo the transaction using the desired method of payment.
So my story, I accidentally clicked the RP button to purchase Kalista, and immediately after(literally 20 seconds) realized my error, I wanted to pay with IP. I contacted riot immediately, prior to using Kalista. Riot, says,
"There is currently no way to receive more than three refund tokens per account. This feature was developed to give Summoners a chance to exchange content they regretted buying, or purchased accidentally – but we had to limit the number of refunds we could reasonably grant within the game."
First of all I didn't regret buying Kalista, I fully intended to buy her. I didn't accidentally purchase the item either, so neither of these reasons apply to the situation at hand. I accidentally clicked the wrong button. First sentence is a diversion, they could easily undo the transaction should they desire. I am not looking for a token, I looking for the business to allow me to pay with the method I fully intended to pay. I understand the need to limit people from taking advantage of a return policy, but this is bad business.
Before you shout out "You accepted the terms!" well consider this, yes I did, but this is unconscionable, and borderline theft.
If I had accidentally spent IP on her I wouldn't make a peep.
I would also mention in my payment history for the last 18 months I have not payed RP for anything other than skins.
