Why would they do this? All roles are equally important. Just because a lot of people don't like support doesn't mean you need rewards.

The only reward I need...

Is a good ADC

Why should you? Lol

its because of the que times. You cant pick fill and expect to get anything but supp. That SHOULD NOT happen. Giving people an incentive to play supp would mean that fill might actually be fill. And maybe queing without selecting supp wont take 7-10 mind sometimes

Has nothing to do with importance of roles. Fill does not mean supp. Also, try queing with supp as your secondary role and see if you ever get your first pick. I would say you will get supp 8-9/10 times.

I used to be a fill main. This season i am a support main, not by choice.

Everyone's got it wrong.

You don't get a reward just for playing the role, you get a reward as incentive to cut down on queue times. It's to get MORE people playing the role, not to pat you on the back for playing it.

In answer to the suggestion, I'd rather NOT get people playing support just for the reward. I want people that actually enjoy support and know what they're doing.

I am a support main and I rather this not happen.

Yeah most of the time when I do want to try something different I don't get it because of my secondary is support. No one wants to play support unless they know the ADC they are playing with.

"It's not the ADC's fault" Well actually it can be. I remember a time when I died trying to protect my ADC and they continued to bitch at me and call me trash for trying to protect them. I don't like solo que at all being a support main.

I haven't played WoW in like forever, but when I did Healing and Tanking were my two favorite roles! (druid obv) When did they start giving rewards to healers and tanks, and what rewards are they giving out?? I doubt I'm going back, but I still want to know.

I heard someone say that the near instant queue times are their own reward. And I laughed at that because if that were true there wouldn't be a shortage in the first place. Clearly most people would rather take a longer queue than play support.

Incentives in WoW worked about as well as a band-aid over a broken bone: it helped a bit but the underlying problem was still festering. Playing a tank or healer in raids was a bogus job. Other players got to have fun murdering things and there you were helping them have all the fun. Some players got fulfillment out of that; most did not.

That describes the support role pretty well. You're there to help other players, and most players don't find that fun. They want to be the one getting helped. They want to be the one getting healed, or peeled for, or have their enemy held in place by cc. Everyone wants to be Batman, hardly anyone wants to be Robin.

What reason is there for supports to get more? Don't tell me that it's because people are toxic towards supports, every role has to deal with toxicity. Supports aren't the "special snowflakes" in the game.
