Why is Zed getting more QQ threads than Katarina? (serious question)
EDIT: I chose those two because of some similarities between them (manaless, good at killing single target, mobile)

Kat's escape needs to not be on cooldown, needs there to be something she can jump to, and whatever that is actually needs to be pretty close. Zed can blink much further away into safety. Kat's ult confers no untargetability and actually requires her to stand there doing absolutely nothing else, so she is easier to kill and it is easier to escape from.
Kat doesn't have any long range harass, Kat doesn't have waveclear, Kat doesn't have as nearly a reliable of an escape, Ktherefore Kat cannot splitpush. If you get aced after a teamfight and Katarina is the only one left alive, you won't lose an objective. Not true for Zed.
He has less kill potential for much more utility.
Kat also can't farm well under turret.
Zed has much more reliable damage, can burst just as well if he has a few items, ranged waveclear, incredibly safe laning phase, harrass like no tomorrow
A lot of Kats damage is tied to her escape, in a fashion that forces her to choice between one or the other.
Zed on the other hand can us his shadow for an escape and still get full damage from it... the same can be said about his ult...
and zed has better ranged poke, wave clear.
Zed is also much harder to stop from killing carries and forces itemization to stop him. If your apc don't build hourglass... and your adc qss... then he is going to kill people.
