Wanted: League Players With Great Stories

Video production teams at Riot have already poured tons of energy into producing and telling stories about in-game characters, the pro players in the LCS, and couples who play League together. We want to continue showing off all the awesome stuff that happens in our community, so now we’re turning the camera towards you—and your very own story.

We’re always looking for opportunities to highlight players with interesting stories, so we want to hear from you. Tell us about a League player that inspires you, a special project you’re working on, or even showcase about how you or a friend have brought the League community together.

This is a story all about how My life got flip-turned upside down And I liked to take a minute and sit right there And tell you how I became a silver in a game called LOL

In west Florida born and raised On the compuer was where I spent most of my days Playing Vlad, relaxing', maxing' my Q And all shooti'g some minions outside of my pool

When a couple of guys who were up to no good Starting' makin'g trouble in the top lanes hood I got in one lil' fight and my team got scared They said you're feeding and thats gg, i quit and dont care.

I pinged for a gank and when it came near The champion was thresh and it had luc's wife in his lantern If anything I can say this gank is rare But I thought now forget it yo homes double kill!

They forfeited the game about 27 or 8 And I yelled to the team yo homes, smell ya later I looked at my kingdom, I was finally there To sit on my throne as the Prince of silver 5

I hold creative contests here in the League forums and give people free skins/champions. It's not terribly interesting, but it's probably one of the few times I see the community smiling and having a good time sharing their creations rather than trying to stab each other with pitch forks. :)

I have been playing since preseason 2 and since then have went from the only one I knew playing League, to actually coaching a group of people how to play. I was nicknamed "coach" and we have huge LAN parties for League almost weekly with around 10-14 people on 2 routers in one home. Plus its not just guys. The women play too. We literally have parties but instead of drugs and recklessness, it's LEAGUE! :P

My story is about how terrible this community is. Every game somebody is threatening somebody else's life, talking about your mom, using racial, sexist, or homophobic slurs, cursing at everyone, or just afking. I was just told to get cancer and die. For you to have great stories, shouldn't you actually have a community first?

Hi, im 21 years old, currently playing and maining all roles. My whole team reported me because I was adcing and wouldn't go in 1v4, so I called them stupid in defense of myself. Got a 14 day account suspension. Thanks report system. Oh I forgot to mention they were yelling and swearing at me, so there's that to. Glad they get a get out of jail free card though gg riot, gg.

In the beginning, one pro player inspired me to play midlane. His name is Scarra. So for two straight seasons I spammed Katarina . Sadly, as tanks got stronger, my kitty cat started to fail me...Fast forward to S5. I'm playing Akali . This is the day i learn that one person shouldn't take all the kills. I go 50/10/8 and we lost the game. Because of my tenth death. But I kept spamming Akali , and essentially spinning my wheels in ranked. I would never really start "maining" another role, but between all the changes and the "noob champ" insults, I was getting frustrated and therefore starting to get extremely toxic. Fast forward to my 12-draft-win ban from ranked and my 48-game chat restriction for toxicity. I spammed ARAMs to get off chat restriction, and started chipping away at that draft ban slowly. During that time, the greatest events of my League career happened to me. I'd been looking for someone to replace Akali and Katarina . SO...on this one particular day of continued ARAM spamming, i get this weird champ I hadn't seen in like two years played by anyone in games I was in. I'm like...ok...great. Something I have no clue what the hell to do with. And then I proceeded to have possibly my most fun ARAM ever. More fun even than my Katarina guaranteed pentakill games. And I learned too that one does not simply Leeroy Jenkins and expect to win. Chat restriction, even more than being a punishment for toxicity, frustrated the hell out of me because now, when I NEEDED to communicate with teammates, I couldn't. Same as being muted, I suppose. So lesson learned. Only communicate when you need to unless you're saying something funny to lighten the mood. (Like telling the Toxic player on the team to stop being such a Britney Spears.) Or saying something entirely random to get people's minds off who fed who and make them be like "lolwtf", and then just go back to playing. Ex. Rainbow wombats are fighting a civil war over a golden cockroach leg on Pluto. Or, telling a joke to lighten the mood. "Hey, you know blind monks have stopped buying houses. They prefer Lee Sin their property. I know you're over there saying Irelia wish the bad league puns would stop but they won't beKha'zix too fun to make them and I got a Zilean more."

Fast forward more. Back to ranked. Armed with my new champion, I had this weird feeling like this was my season to get out of B5. And soon enough, I won promos and moved up to B4.

Tell me I play noob champs now, fools.

So i go to a high school school that is different than most (no i'm not "Special") (OK maybe a little) but, that really isn't the point. Basically it is a school where you can learn how you want, and every Wednesday we have special "Exploratory" classes that are a little more fun or offbeat. So me and my friend made a proposal and asked our principal if we could teach League of Legends class and he said yes!

this is my story about a year ago my cat died from a dragon attack. poor nidalee that shyvana just kept killing her she was my support I was varus I could not save anyone next thing I knew that shyvana got pentakill and then we lost. I cried for a weak it was so sad but yeah that's about it. when I stoped crying i went to go play so league and then that same shyvana killed my horse but atleast that game we won. it was bots

i got one. your game is a joke im jsut happy you perma banned me like i asked today

just under 1300 games season 4 hit b2 got a 14 day ban

884 games season 5 hit b2 got a 14 day ban

cool part of the story starts now

despite a clear increase in trolls/feeders/afks entirely thanks to your chooice at riot to redo the tribunal i hit bronze 2 a full 450ish games sooner - dont remember the exact count and to much effort to recount.

stop this pr nonsense and fix your game before you kill it

for me lol meant i was playing ranked since thats where most of your perma bans are coming from i thought id drop by and pass out a few warnings to others about your poor chocies and failures surrounding them

do not play ranked 90% of their permas they hand out are coming from their if it wasn't the case they wouldn't be touching it case and point east coast sever move

The best I got was the time I managed to go 3v1 because my team mates left, and went 26/1/0 and 157 minion kills. I played as Teemo and got cussed out afterwards, but it was completely worth it.

one of my best friends ever played with me a lot one day (i don't even have to look at history to remember) he quit a game as kat and never came back again. Goodbye my friend was a pleasure meeting you..... i mostly played Annie then and my first ever played champ was also Annie (not including tutorial) i miss the old days sometimes...

I also stole the baron as lulu and got away with it once it was with a Q

and my favorite was when i used to play singed with super high ap & mana and i got a penta xD i was so happy that day, and everyone started asking for my build and why i built him like that. These aren't much of stories but i also remember those times very well =)

as for pros, i don't have a preference i have never watched a pro game in my life :P

This doesnt specify if the story must be strictly non-fiction. I think that I have the most interesting story, but it hinges on little to no background investigation on your part or an allowance of at least 80% fiction.

Please respond soon, I may or may not have long to live or a small country to save or something. Just respond and I'll figure out the minor details later.

This may have already been done considering the League couples video but I like sharing it. I had gotten into this game back in 2013 where I would play non-stop hoping to find friends or someone to actually play with, around the end of may I found someone who would actively play league with me and not criticize my skill. Throughout the entire time I had been uplifting from depression due to my parents divorcing which lead me to play league in the first place, now this guy I had been playing with had talked to me constantly making me feel better and helping me get better at the game. (Considering we were both Bronze Season 4) Eventually after spending 2-3 months with him I fell into his charm even though he was entirely far from me. People say long distance relationships never last but league helped us bond together keeping our love close together as we tried to finally meet. Throughout this entire year he has made me happy along with league which started our relationship together. Just today on August 9th was the mark of our 1 year anniversary together were we spent the day playing a few league games together and well talking about our plans. Corny as it may seem I have to thank Riot for making a game that was able to bring me in my opinion the best man in the world and for helping us keep our relationship happy!

For the longest time, I could never decide my main. I went from support to mid, mid to top, top to jungle, and jungle to support again.

I was mostly a jack of all trades, but I wasn't very good as anyone. I tried some midlane champions, I got Viktor, and he was pretty good.

Then, I saw Final Boss Veigar. A skin so amazing, that I couldn't help but want it. Though...I never actually played Veigar. So what was I to do? Well, I decided to but him, try him out. What followed, was one of the best games I played in my life. It truly felt like Veigar was the key to my locked main. The gem in the necklace.

After a few games and doing very well, I decided to but Final Boss Veigar. And it was amazing, as I suspected. I think I really like Veigar. I think he will be my main for a long time. But mostly, I think item 3089 Rabadons Deathcap is OP.

Hi, I'm a 12 year old boy named Matt. 5 years ago, my sister ran away from my house. My sister was my very best friend. She took care of me like she was my mother. I didn't see her a lot (almost never). 2 years ago, we finally see each other and it turns out she was living with her boyfriend. As she was there, her boyfriend showed her LoL. My sister really liked the game and told me about it. At first, I thought it was boring. But then, I thought of it as a way to communicate with my sister. I got my account at the end of S3 and actually started playing it. I was really bad at the game, but I thought it was worth the bond with my sister. After I finally got to lvl 30, I started to gain skill.

I was extremely scared to play a ranked match. Next thing I knew, I was silver 3. (I get teamed up with bad players I'm now s4).

I honestly love this game and it all came from trying to have a bond with my sister (we're bonding xD")

My life consists of eating, sleeping, and League Of Legends now. Teemo =ded

I wont give too much info (and I am not sure how great it is, but), but I have a little tale to tell.

I am a Homeschooled Student in South Africa. I didn't do any form of schoolwork until I was about 14. When I started I couldn't read quite well and didn't know maths. My mother had died before, so I became very addicted to gaming due to the escapism of it. Anyhow, I started school properly at age 14 and within 4 years, I caught up everything until AS-Levels. I didn't finish AS-Levels but did a test exam on IGCSE and got 80-90 % for maths science and computer science, and didn't quite pass English. I am now studying programming full time and have made several sites. I can learn an 1000 page programming manual in a week and am learning HTML JS,css, bootstrap, DNN, c#, VB, and asp.net with ASPX (http://friendsofyelshir.wordpress.com being my main fun project ATM, just ffor kicks)

Here is a story from LoL, I was recently in a match versus some rude people (we DID lose, but we had a AFK tank/jungler) I was Teemo and I went top lane as usual. I started ganking and killing people so much that they did 5 v 1s (I still ganked 3 of em then) and it got to a point where they were begging me to not gank them xD. got a triple and many other kills. Unfortunately it wasn't enough to gank and be the only one doing so, so my team lost.Also, I KSed dragon. They were soooooo angry.

One day I came across a couple players in a co-op game roleplaying their characters - very well. It was so entertaining, I could barely pay attention to what I was doing (it was beginner bots so it didn't matter too much). I instantly friended them, and we tried to do more games in character. I still occasionally play gentleman cho in character in beginner co-op. Sadly, only one time did someone really take to it and love it. But it's so so funny! ex: I was Thresh in one, and one of them was Lucian. Went something like: Lucian You.. you took my wife! How could I be paired with this monster! Thresh Who?.. ah yes, her. She was delicious! :D

and it continued the whole game. <3

There was also a time with a riot Blitzcrank that made arrests for disorderly conduct, sirens blaring. It might have been that game because Lucian "refused" to work with thresh.

One other game had Lulu and Veigar . Lulu kept referring to Veigar as vedgie poo. And when Veigar respawned, he'd say "oh, such precious short time of silence. Anything to get away from that THING."
