I mean considering I've been playing League on and off since July of 2011 and I'm missing 3 champions, I'd say it takes awhile. Especially considering I did buy quite a few using RP.

If you are not playing 24/7 it takes really long, you are also forgetting about runes which are really expensive when all that ip adds up. Not to mention that if you want more rune pages you actually have to pay a high-tier champion price.

It actually costs almost 500,000 IP total for all of the champions, should be 3 or 4 more new champions when we reach that milestone. You get like 250 IP for first win of the day. That's not ridiculous at all, of course. Perfectly acceptable grind.
