Anyone else experiencing this lack of sportsmanship every 3 games? people enjoy you typing a word back and reply salt, cry, etc So dont say a word and leave your /all chat off. There is no mutual fun to be had there.

Trash talking is only fun when it's between equals. Trash talking your 0-5 lane opponent is neither fun or honorable. To be honest I'd rather mock myself for a mistake ("The greed is real") or laughing because I survived something I shouldn't have ("15 health OP") than insulting an opponent.

If everyone was honorable in victory then there would be no point in an honor system. Gloating is a legitimate part of any competition. There is literally a Darius skin that does nothing but taunt and gloat. I'm not going to tell you to "stop being sensitive" because "ez" is a jerk move. But this is a natural part of competition. No one is required to be sportsman like to you. If they are, honor them, because they have been exceptionally honorable.

Jokes aside, ye it really shows how bad the ppl telling this are.

If the choice were between having all chat on, and uninstalling League, I would uninstall League in a heartbeat. Why would you invite even more 12 year olds to speak? I'm already having to babysit my team mates and teach them basic tenets of civilization in half of all the games I play, I certainly do not want the other five parent-less little animals babbling at me while I try to enjoy a game. There are so many LoL players' parents who owe me money for unpaid daycare that it's not even funny, and I've barely started playing this game.

Remember people, the way to be an Honorable Opponent is to be "humble in victory or graceful in defeat." As someone who does a lot of honoring, I see it as a real shame that those two letters can make everyone think a lot less of you.

WeFlyNoLie3/6/2015, 5:13:11 PM5 votes

I see people type it in games that don't even have an Ezreal.

i dont understand why people dont like saying GG EZ.

all they are doing is thanking ezreal for a great game

I have to agree with the OP, strongly. There is nothing positive that "ez" adds to the community. Belittling an opponent is against the Summoner's Code, that we ALL agree to abide by for a civil and constructive environment. "6 Show Humility in Victory, and Grace in Defeat" most glaringly is violated. I ABSOLUTELY encourage aggressive gameplay. When someone is raging at being ganked my team gets instructed to GANK HIM HARD to try to get him to quit. Friendly discussion between opponents is also a welcome addition to any game I play. I genuinely enjoy talking to people that aren't complete, blatant douchebags.

I'm still not sure why allchat is even a thing. It's not necessary or useful for anything constructive. Why do we have an option to turn it off, when really, it just shouldn't exist?

I just report for negative attitude and move on.

During the game is different from the end of the game. during the game go ahead and trash talk as long as you do so without being Racist/sexist/homophobic. At the end of the game however there is no psychological gain to be had you are just being a douch.

/facepalm

it's one thing having some idiot rage at his own team but you'd have to be fragile as hell to feel like a game was ruined because someone said "ez".

lay off the god damn estrogen, kids, holy fuck.

So if I am winning my lane because my opponent made some outright terrible decisions, I can't say "outplayed"?
