@Riot, any update on Alpha Client? Can we get a timeline?

Since I've heard about the new client being built I've been super excited about it. Everything looks sleek and new and i can't wait for features like partying up and clubs (and getting rid of adobe air). When are alpha testing signups? all i can find about it is

Look for signups to open before the alpha kicks off next year.

and

We'll be rolling out more info on how to sign up for the Alpha when we're closer :)

We are well into this year at this point. I have seen nothing about signups to be a tester. Do you need a PBE account to register? Is the technology just not ready yet? Do you have a timeline (even if it's a broad one)?

Is this something that was released but i just missed? :/ is there a link you could attach about the most relevant and up-to-date information? Thanks for taking the time to read this
