Ex guild wars 1. Ex Rioters.(league of legends) Ex Blizzard. Ex activision from CoD 4 creators.(the only good one rofl..) Even some Ex broodwar makers.
I don't think there's room in the market for another traditional moba. We have two majorly successful standard mobas, we have a somewhat successful 'third person' moba(smite)... there just isn't market for another one. Unless this game is hundreds of times better, people will prefer playing the game they're used to and just wait for it to catch up.
Look at what happened with WoW. The MMORPG suddenly became all the rage, everyone tried to 'one up' WoW, and many competitors produced games that were potentially superior to WoW. But the mass exodus people expected never happened... these games never succeeded. Inevitably they either died, stopped receiving support, or went free to play in the hopes of getting an audience. Some of them survived, some of them didn't... but none of them thrived. Why? Because they were trying to steal an audience that was happy where they were.
At this point, if you want to get an audience in the MOBA space, you need to do something new. Smite did that, and has seen a decent amount of success. And Heroes of the Storm is also looking to do that, and judging by what I've seen I expect it to succeed as well... but I don't see another traditional moba succeeded... people are just too content, in general, with DotA2 and LoL. The two will split the market, and anyone else who tries to fit themselves in will have to take the dregs, and I don't think that's enough to be really successful.
What's the point of another moba?
Whats the point in posting about a new moba here. Are you trying to tell league players to go play something else now? I dont get what the point is of posting this here.
