About newer splash arts (particular females)

Has anyone noticed lots of people criticise splash arts **only ** because the girls in their are uglier than their former splash art ?

Take for example. I've noticed a lot of hate towards her splash art particularly because her face is noticeable uglier than the former splash art. Debateble, but I agree. However I find that her new splash art captures her personality (I want to kill everything) quite well. It's more frightening and she has a sly smile. The other one, just seemed so blank.

is another example. Again her old splash art was prettier than the new one imo, but it clearly explains in her lore than there is something really inhuman about Janna, and her new splash art makes that more evident. The old one just made her look like some pretty girl with blonde hair.

I understand that each last sentence can be a bit too opinionated, but I hope you see what I mean. Sure the new splash arts may appear ugly to you, doesn't mean it's generally a shitty piece of art. Not every girl in League needs to be attractive. I'm pretty sure riot's goal for the champion splash art to capture their personality, not make them all look sexy etc.

Also out of curiosity, which champ splash art do you think captures their personality the best ? I think i'll go with
