When your Jungler doesn't place a ward all game.

How???? I understand i'm a low level, but how do you even consider playing jungle without warding? If their Yi hadn't of gone afk, this would have been the most frustrating experience of my life. I told him he needs to be warding and he responds with "wards never work for me" I tried to explain to him the importance of warding and it was like talking to a brick wall.
