Laggy Client + Queue Timers = Pain

I have 20 minute queue timers, but my client is so laggy, so that when I click accept a game it doesn't accept until very late, and usually this causes me to miss the match. This would be ok without queue timers, but with them I have to wait 20 extra minutes. It's happened to me twice already and these queue timers are very time consuming making it impossible to play with a laggy client. I don't know how to unlag my client, and I know getting queue timers was my own fault. but I had legitimate connection problems. Thanks for any help you all can offer!
