Leona in the LCS.
I think Leona is one of the best support champs. But i'm also only Silver. So i was wondering why i never see Leona played in the LCS? I see Nami/Janna/Threah...

Preference? Leona support is a utility champion, bringing stuns and slows to the table.. she's OP.. but Thresh has so much more harass potential, and like Blitz has the pulling that makes him more prefered usually.. you know?
I could be wrong.. I don't watch LCS.. but no one else is answered, I figured I would.
I think it has more to do with how leona is forced to engage. Sure she has some of the best engages in the game and can lock down a champion for quite some time but she has to jump into the fray in order to do so, while supports like thresh do not and instead bring the enemy to them or safely harass from a distance without forcing the entire team to follow up in a potentially dangerous situation.
She used to be, but I think there are too many other support champs that counter Leona with good disengages such as Janna and Morgana.
