Champion Mastery Rating System

Something I wanted to post, and hopefully Riot will see, was some of the stuff on Champion Mastery rating. I want to say starting off that I actually think the higher tier champion masteries are a fun thing to pursue. But the judge on performance is very strict (at least in mid lanes).

In this match history link, I went 29/2/12 with 179 farm on Anivia in 36 min game. My gold at the end of the game was 20.4k (that is the HIGHEST amount I have ever gotten). My damage was 2x that of any teammate and 60% of the enemy team's total damage (58.6k damage to champs) and I EVEN GOT A PENTAKILL.

Basically, it was one of the best games I have ever played on Anivia in terms of how much I got fed and how much damage I did and I never get 20k gold even in games that go 45 min long. My rank at the end of the game was an S-. I have earned higher ranks with Anivia in games where I didnt carry nearly as hard. The only thing that I did not have a "good" score on was cs at 179 by 36 min. The reason my creep score was so low is the entire game was a constant skirmish between the teams and I being the only really fed carry was in pretty much every single one, so farming was not the biggest priority.

However, I almost completed ALL 6 items by the time I hit level 18, that is how big I was. Basically, I am looking at the Champion Mastery rating system as not being an accurate representation of your performance with a given champion. It may be based on what other Anivia's did in terms of performance or other general mid lane champs performance. I may have gotten an S- in rank because of lower creep score that is weighted too heavily in performance, but my Gold/min (566.66 gpm averaged), KDR, champion Damage output/min (1627.78 dpm) was higher than an S- rank performance. There are probably some metrics that I am not including that Riot might use as a part of the algorithm that calculates your score (maybe your overall damage output or something). But something feels inadequate in the rating system if I have a MONSTER game where I am only given an S-.

I actually really want to go for Champion Mastery levels 6 and 7, but if I have great games that deserve (or I feel like they deserve) an S or S+ rank and get a lower than required rank, it feels like I am not being rewarded for great performances. I would be a little less vocal if my performance had earned an S instead of an S+ because I could have chalked it up to the calculations and Creep Score, but I was much farther away from what could have been considered a superior performance on Anivia for me to justify the lower grade. This could be the 1% scenario and so could be off base, but I just wanted to mention this because I felt like the ranking system got it way off this time and in similar circumstances may misgrade players. I think the grading system is an excellent way for players to judge their performance on metrics and compare games in a fun way. Riot already rewards great performance, but I just want to bring this to Riot's attention.
